It's been just under two months since the 2014 MLS draft, as last fall's college hopefuls learned their fate on draft day.

For some, it was a day to learn a new home, entering the draft with contract in hand. For most, it was a chance to prove themselves and earn a new contract.

In all, 77 picks were made. With the 2014 MLS season set to kick off on Saturday, it's an appropriate time to take a look at which players have earned contracts and which ones moved on:

First Round

1. GK Andre Blake, Philadelphia Union - Signed guaranteed Generation adidas contract before draft.

2. D Steve Birnbaum, D.C. United - Signed contract prior to MLS draft.

3. D Christian Dean, Vancouver Whitecaps - Signed guaranteed Generation adidas contract before draft.

4. M Steve Neumann, New England Revolution - Signed contract prior to MLS draft.

5. D Eric Miller, Montreal Impact - Signed Generation adidas contract guaranteed before draft.

6. M Tesho Akindele, FC Dallas - The Division II standout signed with FCD on Feb. 27.

7. M Andre Lewis, Vancouver Whitecaps - Loaned to the Whitecaps from the New York Cosmos after the draft.

8. D Damion Lowe, Seattle Sounders - Signed guaranteed Generation adidas contract before draft.

9. M JJ Koval, San Jose Earthquakes - Signed with the Quakes in mid-February.

10. D Nick Hagglund, Toronto FC - The defender played centrally for Xavier during his collegiate career and has played on the right for TFC during preseason. Signed with the club in February.

11. F Patrick Mullins, New England Revolution - Signed contract prior to MLS draft.

12. M Marlon Hairston, Colorado Rapids - Signed guaranteed Generation adidas contract before draft.

13. D Marco Franco, Chicago Fire - The outside/center back signed with the Fire last week.

14. D Ben Sweat, Columbus Crew - The South Florida product signed with the Crew on Feb. 14.

15. M Pedro Ribeiro, Philadelphia Union - Signed with the club.

16. D AJ Cochran, Houston Dynamo - Signed guaranteed Generation adidas contract before draft.

17. F Schillo Tshuma, Portland Timbers - Signed guaranteed Generation adidas contract before draft.

18. D Ryan Neil, Real Salt Lake - Cut by RSL, signed with San Jose Earthquakes on Mar. 7. 

19. D Grant Van De Casteele, Colorado Rapids - The national champion center back signed with MLS before the draft.

Second Round

1. M Thomas McNamara, Chivas USA - The Clemson attacking mid signed on Feb. 14.

2. D Jimmy Ockford, Seattle Sounders FC - The center back signed with the Sounders and was loaned out to the New York Cosmos.

3. D Chris Duvall, New York Red Bulls - Signed with the club on March 7.

4. D Kyle Venter, LA Galaxy - Still with team, though no confirmation of signing.

5. M Daniel Lovitz, Toronto FC - Signed with the team this week and will head on loan to USL Pro affiliate Wilmington.

6. D Kevin Cope, Philadelphia Union - The center back was cut from the Union’s preseason camp.

7. D Taylor Peay, Portland Timbers - Signed with the club in January/Feb.

8. M Robbie Derschang, Philadelphia Union - Released during preseason training camp.

9. D Joe Sofia, San Jose Earthquakes - Signed with the Earthquakes on Mar. 7.

10. M Victor Munoz, D.C. United - Still in camp with United, likely to sign a contract.

11. F Mamadou Diouf, Vancouver Whitecaps - Signed with the club, and likely to be sent to Charleston, Vancouver’s USL Pro affiliate.

12. M Alec Sundly, New England Revolution - Signed with the club.

13. F Mark Sherrod, Houston Dynamo - Signed with the club

14. M Jared Watts, Colorado Rapids - Signed with the club.

15. M Eric Stevenson, New York Red Bulls - Signed with the club.

16. GK John Berner, Colorado Rapids - Signed with the club.

17. M Aaron Long, Portland Timbers - Signed with the club.

18. M George Malki, Montreal Impact - Injured during preseason.

19. F Adnan Gabeljic, Sporting KC - Still with the team as of first week of March. Likely a candidate to get signed and loaned to USL Pro affiliate.

Third Round

1. M George Fochive, Portland Timbers - Signed for Portland alongside Aaron Long on Feb. 25.

2.F Kris Tyrpak, Chivas USA - Status unknown.

3. D Peter Schmetz, Sporting KC - The German center back has yet to sign a deal with SKC but has yet to be cut.

4. M Fifi Baiden, Columbus Crew - The holding midfielder was signed by Columbus on Feb. 14.

5. D Nicholas Walker, FC Dallas - The center back signed with FCD on Feb. 27.

6. D Richie Marquez, Philadelphia Union - Signed with the club.

7. M Adam Bedell, Columbus Crew - The Detroit alumnus signed with the Crew this past week.

8. M Alex Sweetin, Philadelphia Union - Cut by the Union during the first week of camp.

9. M A.J. Corrado, San Jose Earthquakes - Released following SJ’s trip to the Rose City Invitational in early March.

10. F Pete Caringi, Montreal Impact - Released from Montreal’s camp at the beginning of February.

11. D Tolani Ibikunle, Colorado Rapids - Released from Rapids camp in mid-February.

12. F Pierre Omanga, New England Revolution - Omanga was not retained after New England’s preseason slate ended.

13. M Michael Kafari, Vancouver Whitecaps - While he made it through the entire camp, reports indicate that Kafari won’t make the squad and is going on trial at Charleston.

14. M Aodhan Quinn, Philadelphia Union- Cut loose by the Union on March 3.

15. M Joey Dillon, Real Salt Lake - Status unknown.

16. GK Michael Lisch, Houston Dynamo - Signed with Houston on Feb. 26.
