Stony Brook, N.Y. - Senior Raphael Abreu (New York, N.Y.) tallied a pair of late second-half goals less than three minutes apart to carry the Stony Brook men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over New Hampshire Wednesday at LaValle Stadium.

The win came on Senior Night as the Seawolves celebrated Abreu, Antonio Crespi (North Babylon, N.Y.), Berian Gobeil Cruz (Montreal, Quebec), Leonardo Fernandes (North Babylon, N.Y.), Stefan Manz (Bronx, N.Y.), Christian Molinar (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Kyle Schlesinger (Selden, N.Y.), who all played their final regular season home game.

Coach Ryan Anatol's Reaction
"I thought it was a good performance, and I thought we dominated on both sides of the ball. We did a good job of moving and keeping the ball. We were creating a lot of chances and were aggressive defensively. We limited their opportunities. We didn't get one in the first half, but we stayed patient and created enough chances and got two late to win."

Goal Recaps

• In the 85th minute, junior Will Casey (Setauket, N.Y.), headed a throw in right to Abreu, who came over the top with his left foot and shot the ball past the UNH goalkeeper's right far post.
• In the 88th minute, Schlesinger moved the ball forward and slipped the ball past two defenders to a streaking freshman Alejandro Fritz (Budapest, Hungary), who boomed a shot off the goalkeepers's hands. The rebound caromed to a wide open Abreu in front of the net, and he pounded it home for the goal.

The Numbers Game

• Stony Brook outshot UNH 19-8 and held the Wildcats without a single shot in the first half.
• It was Abreu's second career two-goal game. He also accomplished it on Oct. 23, 2010 at Binghamton.
• Manz made three saves, including a brilliant point-blank stop in the game's final seconds. He now has four shutouts on the season and 18 for his career.
• Schlesinger's assist ties him for eighth all-time in program history with 11.
• Stony Brook did not commit a single foul in the game.
• Stony Brook's senior class has accumulated 80 goals and 49 assists in their four years.

• Stony Brook is now 4-4-5 all-time against New Hampshire and is now 2-0-3 against the Wildcats since 2008.
