Cambridge, Mass. - The #Seawolves couldn't overcome two Philip Fleischman goals, falling to Harvard in a non-conference road match, 2-0.
Fleischman's first goal, which came in the 42nd minute, resulted from a scramle in the box. The ball popped loose, allowing him to hit a first time shot past redshirt sophomore Jason Orban (Manorville, N.Y.).
Fleischman would tack on a second in the 65th minute, taking a long pass and beating Orban with a well-placed shot.
Harvard held a 15-7 edge in shots and a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Junior Martin Giordano (Weston, Fla.) led Stony Brook with two shots, both of which wound up on frame.
Orban, making his second start of the season, made four stops in goal.
The Seawolves resume America East play Saturday with a 7 p.m. match at Binghamton. The Bearcats and Seawolves played to a 2-2 tie last season. Binghamton leads the all-time series with a 21-11-3 record over Stony Brook.
