TDS Division I Women's Top 25: Sept. 19
Stanford is back on top.
The Cardinal's unbeaten run continued over the past week, and coupled with West Virginia's 1-0 loss at home to Georgetown, Stanford returns to the No. 1 ranking after a week in the second spot.
Virginia and Florida State both enjoyed strong openers in ACC play, checking in at No. 2 and No. 3.
Both Georgetown and Arkansas shot up the rankings, with the former now at No. 10 and the latter at No. 13. Arkansas secured its second massive win of the season, defeating Florida 2-1 at home in SEC play.
North Carolina suffered its second defeat of the season, falling 1-0 at home against local rivals NC State.
Slotting into the Top 25 this week is Northwestern, which extended its perfect season to nine games with a pair of victories in ACC play.
