Outside of No. 1 Stanford's consistency, the 2016 Division I women's soccer season continues to provide unpredictable moments and results.

Virginia went on the road to Miami (FL) and suffered a shock defeat at the hands of the Hurricanes, bumping the Cavaliers down into the No. 8 spot in the latest rankings.

Florida suffered one of its worst SEC defeats on home turf last Thursday, conceding three times to Auburn in the first half, losing 3-0 and falling into the No. 15 spot.

Fellow SEC powers Arkansas and South Carolina continued to enjoy tremendous success, surging into the No. 9 and 10 spots in this week's rankings update.

BYU checks in at No. 2 as its strong season continued last week with a 7-0 drubbing of Denver. West Virginia, Florida State and USC round out the top five.

Notre Dame, Michigan and Oklahoma joined the Top 25 this week, with the latter two making their 2016 debut in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Top 25.
