The 2015 NCAA Men’s Division I regular season is over. On Monday, the selection committee will announce the 48 teams that still have a shot at winning the national championship.
Over the weekend, there were a number of upsets as teams that were on the bubble pried their way into the picture for the tournament. The results changed up the men’s top 25 heading into the tournament, which kicks off on Thursday with the First Round.
Georgetown takes over the top spot this week. The Hoyas finished the season on a 16-game unbeaten run. On Sunday, the Hoyas defeated Creighton in the Big East Tournament final. It was the second win over the Jays this month for Georgetown.
Wake Forest slips back to No. 2. The Demon Deacons lost to Notre Dame in the ACC Tournament. It was the first loss since September for Wake Forest. The ACC side is still the projected top side in the RPI following the conference tournament results.
Akron jumps into the top three at No. 3 this week. The Zips captured the MAC Tournament crown on Sunday with a win over Buffalo.
