Winners of two of the last three national titles, Florida State is deservedly the No. 1 team in the country going into the 2026 season.

Behind the Seminoles is national finalist Stanford, followed by a Duke team that reached the College Cup under a first year head coach, and No. 4 Washington who did the Big Ten double in a historically dominant season for the program.

The story of this year is continuty as the vast majority of the teams that contended last season return most of their impact makers, creating what could be one of the deepest title races in college soccer history.
