TDS Women's Division I Top 25: Oct. 7

Upsets were at a minimum at the top of the women's Division I rankings, leaving the four top-ranked teams unchanged in the most recent version of the Top 25.
Virginia held serve at No. 1, heading on the road to defeat Miami (FL) by a 3-0 score on Friday night. Tough tests lie ahead for the Cavaliers this week, with visits to NC State (Wednesday) and Florida State (Sunday) looming.

North Carolina kept pace with the top team, edging Clemson by a 1-0 score over the weekend. Stanford, which sits at No. 3, dominated Pac-12 opponents at home, beating Washington State 5-0 and Washington 4-0 last week.
Rounding out the top five are Florida State and USC.
