Thunder Bitten by 'Dawgs
ADRIAN, Mich. - It was a tough night for the Trine University women’s soccer team as they fell to rival Adrian 6-0. The Thunder drop to 1-13-3 on the year and 0-11-2 in the MIAA.
Adrian scored twice in the first half, in the 13th and 33rd minutes. The Bulldogs would come out and score just 22 seconds into the second half before adding three more goals in the final period.
Freshman Sloan Davis (Olivet, Mich./Olivet) made eight saves in goal for the Thunder while facing 20 shots on the night.
Skyler Reed (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Carroll), a freshman, led the Thunder with three shots attempts, two of which came on goal. Fellow freshman Jordyn Rogers (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Snider) attempted two shots in the game. In all, six the Thunder’s seven shot attempts for the night came on net.
Trine will head to Olivet for their final road game of the season on October 25 for a 4:00 p.m. game.
