HAMILTON, N.Y.—For a third consecutive match, Cal State Fullerton held a lead but failed to hang on, as it fell to Colgate by the final of 3-1 Sunday afternoon at Van Doren Field.

For Fullerton (1-5), the loss extends its season-long losing skid to four games, while its now dropped five straight road affairs going back to last season.

Things started off well for the Titans, asIan Ramos netted his second goal in as many games in the 18th minute after converting on a penalty kick to give the Fullerton the early 1-0 lead.

But Colgate (1-5) would respond moments later, as the Raiders' Zach Pagani put away the first of his two scores on the day in the 24th minute off of the nice cross from Barrett Metzger to equalize things at 1-1.

The two teams went to the break tied, but Colgate held the momentum, as the Raiders outshot the Titans 12-4 and held a 4-1 corner kick advantage through the first 45 minute session.

Unfortunately for Fullerton, the Raiders would keep the pressure going in the second half, outshooting Fullerton 23-7 for the game, while holding a 10-0 shots on goal advantage.

Goalkeeper Bryan Escalante was able to weather the storm and keep Fullerton in the match, recording seven saves in the game, but the Raiders finally broke through in the 74th minute, as Pagani put in his second goal of the game off a rebound in the box to put Colgate in front 2-1.

The Raiders' Smith added one more in the 89th minute to bring the final tally to 3-1.

The Titans will try and get back in the win column next week when they conclude their season-long four-game road swing at Nebraska-Omaha next Saturday at 2:00 p.m. PT.
