Top DII League Cancels Fall Season
Following the announcement from the Chancellor of the California State University system on Tuesday that the CSU system would use online learning for the majority of classes for the fall semester, the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) suspended all fall sports.
The CCAA consists of 12 programs all part of the CSU system. The league features some of the top programs in Division 2 Men’s and Women’s Soccer. Cal State LA was a finalist in the 2019 Men’s Division II National Championship. Cal State San Bernadino was a quarterfinalist in the tournament. Cal State LA also had a successful season with the women’s program advancing to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.
A source told TopDrawerSoccer that some Division I programs have not been informed about what this news for their teams in the fall.
