TopDrawerSoccer Men’s DI Top 25: Nov. 6
The big upset of the week in Men’s Division I soccer came in the ACC quarterfinals where Notre Dame knocked off North Carolina. The Tar Heels are still going to have a seed for the NCAA Tournament, but they will head into the postseason with a 14-3-1 record and that loss fresh in their minds.
Wake Forest kept rolling last week and advanced to the ACC semifinals with a 3-0 win over Virginia Tech. Wake Forest is 16-1-1 on the season and the favorites in the conference tournament.
Stanford clinched another Pac-12 championship last week. It’s becoming a regular occurrence for Jeremy Gunn and his staff in Palo Alto. The Pac-12 runs through Northern California now, and the rest of the conference is going to have to hope either Gunn gets a job in a professional league or they step up to challenge him next season.
