The U.S. U20 Women’s National Team qualified Friday for the FIFA U20 World Cup with a convincing win over arch-rivals Mexico at the CONCACAF Qualifying Tournament semifinal in Panama. The team is now assured of competing at the World Cup in Japan this August.

Following is a look at individual player performances from the contest

Bryane Heaberlin (GK), 7: It’s not her fault the other teams rarely get in position to attack the U.S. goal. Heaberline is still a vocal leader, able to quarterback when the team has to play out of the back and thoroughly competent as a shot-stopper.

Mollie Pathman (D), 7: Pathman never stops working and is always ready to deliver a quality serve. Her defending works just fine as well.

Cari Roccaro (D), 7: Rock solid in the back, seemingly always on hand to clear any danger the Mexican squad managed to create.

Crystal Dunn (D), 7: Dynamic in getting forward and showed a lot of toughness as well.

Kassey  Kallman (D), 7: Very active in the back and distributed intelligently.

Morgan Brian (M), 7: Somewhat quiet but scored a nice goal off a set piece.

Katie Stengel (M), 6: Very industrious on the left side throughout.

Sarah Killion (M), 6: Steady opening 45 minutes for the U.S. for the UCLA midfielder. Substituted after the break.

Kealia Ohai (F), 7: Very active throughout and rewarded with an excellent goal in the closing minutes.

Julie Johnston (M), 8: Player of the match for the U.S. as she constantly created danger in the attack, running at defenders and spraying passes around. Got a tap-in goal for her efforts as well.

Lindsey  Horan (F), 7: Excellent individual effort to score the goal for the U.S. that put the match out of reach.

Substitutes

Samantha Mewis (M), 6: Competent midfield display over the 2nd half for the UCLA standout.

Vanessa DiBernardo (M) 6: Active during her stint as a substitute over 20 minutes.

Maya Hayes (F) 5: Had a couple of chances to stretch the lead at the end and probably should have scored twice, but didn’t.
