ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - After a five-point match at Cincinnati on Saturday night, UCF junior Mason Miller was tabbed as the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday morning by the league office. The Dallas, Texas, native used his head in each of his three scoring plays.

Miller aided UCF to its first conference victory of the season by posting his first and second career goals in a 3-2 win at Cincinnati. He also setup the opening marker by leading junior Romario Williams with a header off a goal kick just before halftime.

The junior midfielder provided the Knights with a two-goal lead in the 47th minute of play by getting his noggin on a free kick struck by Williams and directing into an open net.

After the Bearcats knotted the score, the heroics for Miller continued as he scored the game-winner off a corner kick. Freshman Walker Dawkins played a cross in and Miller directed the ball into the upper corner with five minutes remaining.

Coming into the match, Miller had seen his name on the score sheet on two occasions during his UCF career with assists against Rutgers (11/2) and Memphis (11/9) in 2013.

The offensive player of the week acknowledgement was the first for the Knights since joining the league last year. Former Knights Omar Vallejo (Defensive) and Sebastian Evers (Goalkeeper) were honored during the inaugural season of the conference.

The Knights conclude play in The American on Nov. 1 at Tulsa. The first kick in the match is set for 8 p.m. ET.

UCF presented by Napleton's Volkswagen welcomes in-state foe Florida Gulf Coast on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. in the home finale. For more information on how to purchase tickets click here or call 407-UCF-1000.
