TRITONS SET TO START CCAA STRETCH RUN AT HOME
The UC San Diego women's soccer team enters the back half of the 2015 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) schedule with two home dates during Homecoming weekend. The Tritons (7-4, 3-3 CCAA) welcome Cal State Monterey Bay (3-8, 0-5 CCAA) on Friday, Oct. 9, at 4:30 p.m. They then face SF State (6-3-2, 2-1-2 CCAA) on Sunday, Oct. 11, with kickoff at Triton Soccer Stadium set for 11:30 a.m. Both of this week's matches serve as the first halves of doubleheaders with the UCSD men, who follow at 7 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

At the halfway mark of their 12-game CCAA schedule, the Tritons share the all-important sixth spot in the standings with rival Chico State at nine points apiece. The top six sides in the final table qualify for the CCAA Tournament. UCSD is 5-2 in La Jolla this year.

MATCHDAY SPECS
Once again in 2015, all regular-season home matches at Triton Soccer Stadium are free to attend. Parking permits are required, however, on weeknights on the UCSD campus. Parking permits can be purchased at machines situated at corners of either of the nearest parking lots, behind the spectator stand, as well as the Hopkins Parking Structure behind RIMAC. Parking is free on weekends. All games, home and away, have live stats. Some matches also feature video. All live links are available here.

1995 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SQUAD
As part of UCSD Homecoming and Hall of Fame weekend, UCSD Athletics welcomes back to campus, members of the 1995 women's soccer team that won the second of the program's seven national championships, for a special 20th anniversary recognition.

A LOOK BACK AT LAST WEEK
UCSD navigated through its first CCAA road weekend with a split, battering Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday night, 4-2, before dropping a tough 1-0 decision at defending league champion Cal State L.A. on Sunday afternoon. Freshman forward Mary Reilly produced all four goals against the Toros, with two in each half. Jordyn McNutt and Meghan Berry earned credit for assists on the second and fourth tally, respectively. A 74th-minute penalty-kick goal on Sunday, however, felled the Tritons in Los Angeles.

TRITONS IN REGION POLL
UCSD appears at ninth in the fifth edition of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) West Region poll, released on Tuesday.

REILLY REALLY MAKING HER MARK ON COLLEGE GAME
Mary Reilly, a true freshman locally out of Chula Vista and Hilltop High School, leads the CCAA with seven goals scored, 16 total points, 46 shots taken and 29 shots on goal. The forward hit for an incredible four goals in a 4-2 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills last Friday night, Oct. 2, becoming the first Triton to do so since former All-American Megan Dickey during an 11-0 home victory over Central Washington over a decade ago on Sept. 8, 2005. Reilly is the only player in the CCAA and in fact the West Region, with four goals in a game in 2015, the output tying her with 11 others for fourth nationally in Division II.

BRODSKY BROADENS CAREER CREDENTIALS
Kelcie Brodsky continues to add to her stellar numbers as UCSD's fourth-year starting goalkeeper. Having set the program's single-season saves mark at 114 as a true freshman in 2012, she broke the career standard in that category in the final game of her junior campaign. She then eclipsed the 300-save mark with her seventh in the 56th minute at Azusa Pacific (9/10), reaching double figures for a single contest for the second time as she finished with 11. Brodsky's up-to-date career total stands at 326. She is fourth in the CCAA with 41 on the year, having twice led the league in saves, in 2012 (114) and 2014 (83). At home against Point Loma (9/5), she kept her 20th individual shutout as a Triton, and now has three on the year and 22 in all. The Agoura Hills product has received postseason recognition from the CCAA for each of her first three years. She made the All-CCAA Second Team as a freshman and junior, garnering All-CCAA honorable mention in between.

O'LAUGHLIN A CCAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sophomore striker Katie O'Laughlin earned CCAA Player of the Week distinction for the first time in her career on Sept. 29. The Carlsbad product accounted for the decisive goal in UCSD home victories on Sept. 25 and Sept. 27, representing her first game-winning tallies as a Triton. She is second on the team with four goals on the year.

YOUTH BEING SERVED
Sixteen of UCSD's 18 goals this season have come from first- or second-year Tritons, with seven by freshman Mary Reilly, four by sophomore Katie O'Laughlin, and two each by sophomore Jordyn McNutt and freshman Megumi Barber. The other three scores have come from freshman Summer Bales, redshirt junior Kiera Bocchino, and redshirt sophomore Maxia Espino. Underclassmen have also been the providers of 10 of 16 assists, with three by McNutt and two each by Bales and Reilly. UCSD had a season high of six true freshmen or sophomores in its starting lineup in three straight matches from Sept. 12-18. Goalkeeper Kelcie Brodsky is the only senior who has seen action.

HEAD COACH BRIAN McMANUS
Brian McManus is in his 29th season in charge of the UCSD women's soccer program. With a career record of 457-83-50, he has achieved the most wins (one more than Gabe Mejail of Merrimack College) in NCAA Division II women's soccer history, and fifth-most for all divisions. McManus' career winning percentage heading into 2015 of .820, ranked among the top 10 in college women's soccer annals, both overall (No. 9) and Division II only (No. 4). He was also second in win percentage among active Division II coaches. McManus has directed UCSD to seven national championships and a record eight CCAA banners, with the Tritons advancing to the national semifinals a remarkable 15 times in his 28 years. Under his guidance, UCSD has qualified for the NCAA tournament all 13 seasons during the Division III days, and all but three (2004, 2013-14) of 15 years since the move up to Division II. McManus' Tritons missed the CCAA Championship for the first time in 2013, having earned 13 straight berths after joining the conference. They rallied late to achieve a return trip to that event a year ago.

JONESY NOW ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH
Kristin Jones, a two-time national champion and two-time All-American as one of the greatest players to ever come through the storied UCSD women's soccer program, was elevated by Brian McManus to the position of associate head coach on Aug. 28. She is in her 16th straight year as a Triton, and 12th on the UCSD bench. Jones joined McManus' staff immediately upon exhausting her eligibility, ahead of the 2004 season, and became his top assistant in 2006.

ABOUT THE OTTERS
Cal State Monterey Bay (3-8, 0-5 CCAA) is in last place in the CCAA, one of just two squads, with Cal State Dominguez Hills, still searching for a first league win. The Otters have lost three straight since a 2-0 non-conference win at home over Fresno Pacific, including back-to-back 1-0 shutout defeats suffered in Seaside last weekend to Humboldt State and Sonoma State. CSUMB is 2-4 away from home. Erin Reinke is in her fifth season at the helm.

SERIES HISTORY
UCSD is a perfect 11-0 in the all-time series, outscoring the Otters, 35-4. That includes successive 1-0 victories in the two most recent matchups. The Tritons won by that score in La Jolla on Oct. 27, 2013, as Jessica Dang turned in a right-sided Kiera Bocchino cross in the 54th minute. They duplicated the effort in Seaside a year ago on Oct. 17, with Cassie Callahan notching the lone score from the penalty spot in the 84th minute. UCSD is 5-0 against CSUMB in La Jolla. The Otters have gone scoreless in their last 418:38 against the Tritons, with four straight shutout losses.

ABOUT THE GATORS
SF State (6-3-2, 2-1-2 CCAA) is alone in eighth in the CCAA standings, just one point back of UCSD. The Gators had a seven-game unbeaten run (6-0-1) snapped by a 1-0 home loss to then-14th-ranked league leader Sonoma State last Friday. They then drew 1-1 with Humboldt State on Sunday. SF State is 3-2-1 on the road, and plays at Cal State San Marcos on Friday afternoon before Sunday's visit to La Jolla. Tracy Hamm is at the Gator helm for her first season after long-time head coach Jack Hyde retired following 32 seasons in charge.

SERIES HISTORY
UCSD leads the all-time series, 14-3-6. The teams played to a scoreless draw in San Francisco last Oct. 19. The Tritons had swept two-game sets in both 2011 and 2012 while SF State was a fellow member of the CCAA South, and had won five straight in all, prior to a 1-1 tie in La Jolla on Oct. 25, 2013. UCSD had not allowed a goal to the Gators over 338:35 prior to Stephanie Vanni's 29th-minute opener. Jessica Dang got the equalizer from a free kick with just 30 seconds left in the first half. The Tritons are still unbeaten against SF State over their last nine (5-0-4), including another 1-1 tie in Turlock in the semifinals of the 2010 CCAA tournament before the Gators advanced on penalty kicks, 4-3.
