EAST LANSING, Mich. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (0-4-0) fell 2-1 to Michigan State at the DeMartin Soccer Complex in the Spartans' home opener. MSU (3-0-1) remains unbeaten after four matches this season.

STATS OF THE MATCH
• The Flyers outshot the Spartans 8-3 in the second half and both squads registered five shots in the first half.
• Michigan State held a 1-0 at halftime.
• Ashley Campbell scored her first goal of her senior season to tie the match in the 56^th minute. She is third on UD's all time scoring list with 47 career goals (five goals away from second and 12 to tie for first).
• A little over 30 seconds later the Spartans scored the eventual game-winning goal.

Wright State on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.;
Rice on Friday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m.;
