Wagner Adds To 2019 Class

Staten Island, NY – Wagner head women's soccer coach Phil Casella has announced the addition of Madison Bennert, who has committed to continue her academic and athletic career on Grymes Hill, beginning in the fall of 2019.
 
"Madison will provide us the versatility of playing her up top or in an outside back position on the left side," commented coach Casella. "She possess a great left foot and we are looking forward to her joining the program."

Attended Toms River High School North where she was three-year varsity member of the Mariners soccer team under head coach Tom Miller… In her varsity career, she netted 13 goals and notched 15 assists… Named Asbury Park Press Week 5 Girls Player of the Week… Led Toms River High School North to three Class A South Championships…. 2016 South Jersey Group 4 State Champion as well as 2017 South Jersey Group 4 Finalists… Last season, helped the squad clinch the 2018 Shore Conference Tournament championship… As a member of Toms River Independent SC, she led the team to the Bethesda Premier Cup championship as well as capturing the EDP Cup Showcase title… Helped the club reach the National Elite Women's Soccer Showcase (NEWSS) finals and was a semi-finalist for the US Club NJ Cup… In the classroom, Bennert attained academic varsity letters as well as being a member of the National Honor Society while being a member of the Safe Schools Committee.
 
Bennert is the ninth incoming player that Coach Casella has brought in for the 2019 season, joining newcomers: Renata Djuravevic, Lauren Haggerty, Erin Kelly, Samantha Magill, Isabella Manzella, Jordyn Price, Anne White and Madelyn Wilde.
