Three different players scored their first goal of the season in a UW-Whitewater 3-0 victory over UW-Stout Friday at Fiskum Field in Whitewater.  The win propels the Warhawks to their sixth straight victory, a 7-3-0 record overall and a 3-0-0 record in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  The Blue Devils fall to 3-5-2 overall and 1-2-1 in the WIAC.

Natalie Lechner (Waukesha/Catholic Memorial) broke the scoreless tie in the eleventh minute of the game.  Lechner floated a ball over the head of UW-Stout goalkeeper Robbie Shelby from the right side of the box.

The Warhawks outshot the Blue Devils 10-5 in the first half and carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.

In the 68th minute, a flurry of action in front of the goal resulted in Sarah Sedlar (Racine/Case)'s first goal of the season and a 2-0 lead for the Warhawks.

UW-W put the game out of reach for the Blue Devils when Jessica Allemang (Wauwatosa/West) scored an unassisted goal in the 79th minute.

Jordan Myers (Aurora, IL/Waubonsie Valley) notched her third shutout of the season making eight saves in the game.

The Warhawks topped the Blue Devils in every statistical category.  UW-W outshot Stout 22-11, earned nine corner kicks to Stout's four, and made eight saves to Stout's six.

UW-W will travel to Wartburg on September 30 for a game against the 22nd ranked Knights.  The last time these two teams met was in the 2011 NCAA tournament.  The Warhawks won 6-5 on a shootout to advance to the sweet sixteen.
