After Haley Hopkins bagged her second goal of the night to give Virginia a 3-1 lead over Virginia Tech, it appeared that her team was on course to handily beat their ACC rivals.

Enter Taylor Bryan. The freshman was brought on in the 65th minute and was an immediate headache for the Cavaliers. She scored twice in the last 11 minutes of the contest to snatch a deserved 3-3 tie for the Hokies — her second goal sending Thompson Field into raptures. It was one of the most exciting moments of the season thus far — and perhaps indicative of what Virginia tech might be capable of this season.
