Week in Consideration: October 16-22
D2 Women’s Player of the Week: Lawrencia Yeboah, West Texas A&M
Yeboah was a true match-winner this week, starting with a hat-trick to defeat Eastern New Mexico 3-0, then scoring again to edge Texas A&M International 2-1.
D2 Women’s Team of the Week: Slippery Rock
A statement week for Slippery Rock started with defeating Edinboro 3-1 on the road, then returning home to earn a 1-0 shutout victory over Indiana University (Pa.) and Elle Smith, who leads the country in goals.
D3 Women’s Player of the Week: Livia Davidson, Middlebury
Davidson delivered a sensational performance, making nine saves to shut out No. 3 Tufts.
D3 Women’s Team of the Week: William Smith
Two road games were no problem for the Herons, who defeated No. 17 Vassar College 3-1 and St. Lawrence University 4-0.
NAIA Women’s Player of the Week: Sacha Millward, Life University
Millward performed when the Life University Running Eagles needed it most this week. It began with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 defeat of Mobile, then a hat trick and an 81st-minute equalizer in a 3-3 draw with Georgia Gwinnett.
NAIA Women’s Team of the Week: Eastern Oregon
Eastern Oregon took on two in-state rivals and came away with identical 2-1 wins over Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon.
