Women's DI preseason Top 100 revealed
A new season is almost here.
The women's Division I college soccer campaign begins on Friday, with the chase starting for the 2017 national championship.
Plenty of impressive individuals will step between the lines to battle it out around the country.
In an effort to highlight that, TopDrawerSoccer.com's Preseason Top 100 examines some of the best student-athletes competing in DI women's soccer.
There's little surprise at the top, as the No. 1 player is Andi Sullivan. Ready to compete at the heart of Stanford's midfield, Sullivan will look to get back on track after suffering an ACL injury during last year's surprise NCAA Tournament loss against Santa Clara.
Exciting attacking talent follows right behind sullivan, with midfielder Rachel Corboz (Georgetown), forward Savannah McCaskill (South Carolina), midfielder Jessie Fleming (UCLA) and Emily Ogle (Penn State) round out the top five.
