Women’s Player of the Year race: Oct. 5

Between injuries and international call-ups, the window for individuals to build a case for the 2018 Women’s Player of the Year one is shaping to be a small one. Tierna Davidson, who started the season as the favorite and No. 1 player in the Top 100 Players to Watch list, is slated to miss 10-12 weeks of 2018. Behind her, Jessie Fleming’s been limited to 124 minutes at UCLA between injuries and Canadian national team duty.

So where does the race stand? A look at the players likely to be involved as the season presses on.
