COLUMBUS, Ohio—The women's soccer team (1-1) suffered an overtime loss to #21 ranked visiting Knights of Bellarmine University Sunday afternoon at Panther Field.

The Knights controlled the ball and tempo the first half as they outshot the Panthers 20-6. ODU tried to even the score when senior Jennifer Holton (Johnstown, Ohio) tried to connect but just missed to the left side of the goal.

The second half would remain scoreless as the second period ended tied 0-0, sending the game into the first overtime.

At the 98:33 mark, Bellarmine's Allison Menchak connected with the back of the net to seal the win for the Knights with the final score of 1-0.

Sophomore goalie Laura Clark (Lapeer, Mich.) tallied 11 saves for the Black and Gold while the Knights goalie Amy Kunowski collected 4.

ODU resumes action on Wednesday, September 5 when they face off against Urbana College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at Panther Field.
