After leading the Spartans to two impressive results with her attacking prowess, Kennedy Bell is the women’s college soccer Player of the Week.

It began with a 1-1 draw against No. 4 UCLA, where the junior forward used her pace to burst past the Bruins' backline and then smashed her attempt past the keeper. Then followed a clash with USC, and with the group desperate for their first Big Ten win, the North Carolina native delivered her best performance of the year with two goals and an assist in a 4-0 victory.

Player of the Week: Kennedy Bell, Michigan State
Women’s Team of the Week: September 15-21
GK: Molly Pritchard, Ohio State - The Buckeyes earned two Big Ten 0-0 draws, with senior goalkeeper Pritchard making 11 combined saves across matches against No. 21 Wisconsin and Nebraska.
D: Caroline Castans, Kansas - Despite the Jayhawks playing with ten for much of the match, Castans contributed the game’s only goal and played the full duration in a 1-0 win over Oklahoma State.
D: Ashlynn Kulha, Old Dominion - In an eventful week, Kulha played every minute and scored one as the Monarchs defeated James Madison 1-0 and drew Coastal Carolina 0-0.
D: Cate Hardin, Georgia – The attacking right wing-back assisted the match-winner in a 1-0 win over Kentucky and added two assists in a 4-1 victory against Mississippi.
M: Joy Okonye, Brown - Continuing her elite form of late, the junior midfielder scored one and assisted one to defeat Providence 4-0, then scored two world-class goals to pace a 5-2 defeat of Yale.
M: Hannah Anselmo, Stonehill - After playing 90 minutes to lead a 3-1 victory over New Haven, Anselmo stepped it up a notch with a hat trick to lead a 5-1 victory over St. Francis (Pa.).
M: Leah Chancey, Rice – The midfielder contributed two goals and two assists in back-to-back wins over Florida Atlantic and Grambling State.
M: Megan Molner, Northern Kentucky – The junior attacker continued her breakout year, notching a goal and an assist in a win over Oakland, plus the winning goal against IU Indianapolis.
F: Kennedy Bell, Michigan State – The forward paced the Spartans with three goals and an assist over the week.
F: Alicia Rey Perez, Jacksonville - Perez scored twice against Queens (NC), then repeated the feat against West Georgia, leading Jacksonville to two wins.
F: Kate Runyon, Tennessee - Playing just over 30 minutes as a substitute in both appearances on the week, Runyon made the most of her limited time, scoring both goals in a 2-0 defeat of Missouri, then adding another in a narrow 2-1 victory over LSU.
