Arruda named Lotto Showcase MVP

Buchanan (Clovis, Calif.) junior J.T. Arruda was named MVP of the Lotto Sport Western Showcase, after helping Buchanan to the team title.

Arruda, who plays club soccer for Clovis Crossfire U17s, scored two goals and had one assist in the three-match event. 

He scored the lone goal in Buchanan's 1-0 win over Loyola (Los Angeles, Calif.) in the opening match. He served up one assist in the semfinal win over Servite (Anaheim, Calif.), and scored a goal in the team's 3-1 title victory over Brophy Prep (Phoenix, Ariz.).
