HS: Fall state, region rankings, Nov. 6
The heaviest weekend for fall high school championships is in the books, and to no surprise it resulted in the most significant shuffle of top teams this season.
Girls teams from Northern Highlands (N.J.) and Loveland (Ohio) and boys teams from Naperville North (Ill.) and Albuquerque (N.M.) inherit region No. 1 rankings. The girls teams advanced based on the losses of others. The boys teams won their spots on the field as both were state No. 2 teams that won state titles over No. 1, to flip the order.
St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.) completed a perfect season to secure its place as New Jersey No. 1, East Region No. 1 and FAB 50 No. 1 for the fall season. Whitefish Bay (Wis.) also wrapped up a perfect season to finished No. 1 in Wisconsin and the Great Lakes region.
