HS: Fall state, region rankings, Oct. 9
The first state soccer champions for the 2017-18 school year were crowned this past weekend in South Dakota.
This week, the Mississippi private school girls season will come to a close.
In fact, pretty much every week from now until mid-November, state championships will be decided. And as the playoffs heat up, the chase for No. 1 will thin out. Despite a high number of regional and FAB 50 clashes last week, the favored team won nearly every meeting. While there is some movement in the state and region rankings, there is only one new regional No. 1 this week as Conestoga (Pa.) boys return to the top spot in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
