Now the real fun begins!

This edition of the TopDrawerSoccer FAB 50 marks the first of what will be weekly rankings from now through the end of the fall high school season, which concludes the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Several Midwestern states have started play, but most of the East Coast has yet to begin, which results in very little movement in this week's rankings.

St. Ignatius (Cleveland, Ohio) boys and McDonogh School (Owings Mills, Md.) remain in the No. 1 spots. St. Ignatius has won four matches since the preseason rankings were released in late July. McDonogh, meanwhile, will start regular season play Sept. 3 with a Top 25 clash against Good Counsel (Olney, Md.).

Now, on with the rest of the rankings ...

BIG MOVERS: BOYS: Troy Athens (Troy, Mich.). Troy Athens jumped from No,. 15 to No. 11 this week following a 4-0 showing at the Heritage Showcase. The Redbirds had a big season in 2018 until an early playoff exit. Right now, the team is on the verge of returning to the FAB 50 Top 10. ... GIRLS: Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, Ind.). A strong start from this state title contender allows Hamilton Southeastern to jump from No. 26 to No. 15 in this week's FAB 50.

NEWCOMERS: BOYS: No. 27 Dublin Coffman (Dublin, Ohio), No. 36 Mason (Ohio), No. 49 Cleveland (Rio Rancho, N.M.) and No. 50 Zionsville (Ind.). ... GIRLS: No. 26 Avon (Ohio), No. 37 Highlands (Fort Thomas, Ky.), No. 49 Collierville (Tenn.) and No. 50 Bishop Kelly (Boise, Idaho).
