Message heard loud and clear.

Southington (Conn.) jumped from state-ranked to No. 1 in the Northeast region this week after posting a 3-0 win over former No. 1 and perennial state title challenger Glastonbury (Conn.) last week.

Southington caught Glastonbury with two early goals and three first-half goals.

The result sends Southington to No. 1, followed by King Philip (Mass.).

The other 13 regional No. 1 teams from last week held their ranking this week.
