In most years, a team with a 17-0 record and coming off a Dodson Tournament title would jump high into the SIMA FAB 50.

Instead, Campo Verde (Gilbert, Ariz.) barely squeaked into the bottom of the rankings.

Despite several high caliber boys soccer tournaments last week, movement was tough to come by in the boys rankings as most of the favorites defended their turf. Campo Verde is the lone newcomer to the SIMA FAB 50 boys rankings this week, checking in at No. 49.

At this time of year, several Texas teams have risen to somewhat artifically high rankings as top programs from Arizona, California and Florida have taken losses and settled into a pecking order behind the "undefeated" Texas programs. The Coppell Invitational for boys soccer and National Elite Prep Showcase for girls soccer will certainly shake up the SIMA FAB 50 for next week.

TopDrawerSoccer will provide match coverage from NEPS this week. The 37-team event features 12 SIMA FAB 50 teams, incuding the current No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 squads.

BIG MOVERS: BOYS: Oceanside (Calif.). A runner-up finish in a loaded SoCal High School Classic National Showcase bracket helped Oceanside jump from No. 35 to No. 20. The team's key result was a 1-0 overtime victory over Cathedral (Los Angeles, Calif.). ... GIRLS: Los Alamitos (Calif.). An Excalibur title in a field that featured five SIMA FAB 50 Top 25 teams helped Los Alamitos jump from No. 30 to No. 10 this week.

GIRLS: No. 19 Monte Vista (Danville, Calif.), No. 21 Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, Calif.), No. 22 Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, Calif.), No. 23 Temecula Valley (Temecula, Calif.), No. 40 Perry (Gilbert, Ariz.), No. 41 Desert Vista (Phoenix, Ariz.).
