FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The boys fall high school season includes the following states: Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia (fall only), West Virginia, Wisconsin.

1 (1) St. Benedict's Prep Newark, NJ 6-0-0
Seven players netted goals in the first half as St. Benedict's jumped out to an 8-0 lead 40 minutes into the contest en route to a 13-1 win over Blair Academy. Things get a bit more interesting Friday when the Gray Bees play host to St. Ignatius in a clash of perennial national powers. This is the first meeting of these programs, which have combined to win seven of the last eight fall FAB 50 national titles.
2 (2) Naperville North Naperville, IL 12-0-0
Naperville North was so comfortable in its outing against Acero Garcia that both keepers spent time on the field and they combined to score three goals as the team cruised to an 8-0 win. Ty Konrad also had three goals. Later in the week, the Huskies downed Plainfield Central 2-0. Naperville North competes in the Goal 4 the Goal Fall Classi this week, and takes on Cherry Creek (Colo.) in Thursday's quarterfinal round.
3 (3) Salesianum Wilmington, DE 3-0-0
Salesianum used a pair of second-half goals to put away St. Augustine (N.J.) 3-0 last week. This week, Sallies travels to Burlington, Iowa, for the Go 4 The Goal Fall Classic. The team clashes with FAB 50 No. 14 Milwaukee in the first round of the eight-team event.

St. Xavier Louisville, KY 14-0-1
Chris Willis scored three goals and nine others each had a goal as St. Xavier cruised to a 12-0 win over Brown in a match where some of St. Xavier's top players sat out. This week, St. Xavier will clash with FAB 50 No. 11 Trinity.

St. Ignatius Cleveland, OH 8-0-2
St. Ignatius was held to a 1-1 draw by St. Charles Prep, an outcome that resulted in St. Ignatius and St. Xavier flipping spots in the FAB 50.
6 (6) Blue Valley Southwest Overland Park, KS 5-0-0
Blue Valley Southwest won three matches last week. The team has a clash with perennial state title contender St. Thomas Aquinas this week before competing in this week's Go 4 The Goal Fall Classic. BV Southwest faces Morton (Ill.) in the opening round Thursday.
7 (7) Libertyville Libertyville, IL 10-0-0
Michigan commit Evan Rasmussen scored the winner in Libertyville's 2-1 victory over Waukegan. The Wildcats also defeated Buffalo Grove 3-1 last week.
8 (8) Martin Luther King Manhattan, NY 6-0-0
Yaya Bakayoko paced MLK to four wins last week, capped by a two-assist performance in the team's 3-1 win over Parkland (Pa.).
9 (9) Delbarton School Morristown, NJ 7-0-0
Brendan McSorley had a goal and one assist as Delbarton swept its matches against Chaminade (N.Y.) and La Salle Prep (Pa.) at the Delbarton Invitational. The New jersey schools -- Delbarton and FAB 50-ranked Christian Brothers -- swept their out-of-state foes, winning each match by at least two goals.
10 (10) McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 4-0-0
Penn State commit Andrew Privett scored twice as McDonogh edged Archbishop Curley 4-3 last week. The Eagles' make-up match with FAB 50 No. 12 Loyola was rained out for the second straight time.
11 (11) Louisville Trinity Louisville, KY 13-0-0
Kentucky commit Brandon McManus scored four goals last week -- at least one in each outing -- as Trinity defeated DuPont Manual, Seneca and Evansville Memorial (Ind.).
12 (12) Loyola Towson, MD 5-0-0
Loyola shut out Mount St. Joseph and St. Paul's last week. The Dons have allowed only one goal this season. Loyola and No. 10 McDonogh, a clash that has now twice been rained out, will try again Saturday.
13 (13) Peoria Notre Dame Peoria, IL 12-0-0
Noah Madrigal scored three goals in PND's 4-2 win over Naperville Central in a rare regular season clash with a Chicagoland foe. This week the Irish, like so many other teams at the event, can make a major statement at the Go 4 The Goal Fall Classic. PND faces Rockhurst (Mo.) in the opening round Thursday.

Marquette won the Jesuit Classic in D.C. last week, beating regionally ranked Rockhurst (Mo.) and Regis Jesuit (Colo.). Miguel Herrera scored the winner in the team's 1-0 decision over Rockhurst. Next up is a clash with FAB 50 No. 3 Salesianum (Del.) in the opening round of the Go 4 The Goal Fall Classic on Thursday.

Christian Perez scored twice, both assisted by Jesus Perez, as Morton rallied for a 5-2 win over Wheaton Academy in PepsiCo Showdown U.S. Navy Bracket title game.

Jack Giamanco had three goals and three assists last week as Holmdel won three matches.

The one goal Vianney allowed led to a 1-0 loss to DeSmet, however, the Golden Griffins ended the week with a 1-0 win over former Top 25-ranked Chaminade.

CBC extended its undefeated run to eight matches with four wins last week, which started with a 3-2 decision over former regionally ranked Collinsville (Ill.).

Kearny was held to a 1-1 draw by St. Peter's Prep to end the week. Kearny also had a 3-1 win over North Bergen with Ryan Silva scoring a pair of goals.

Washburn Rural Topeka, KS 6-0-0
Easton Weber had a goal and two assists last week as Washburn Rural snuck past Emporia and Manhattan. Washburn Rural will be competing in the Goal 4 the Goal Fall Classic this week, but in the second bracket and will not face any of the Top 20 programs.
