The winter high school season includes the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Season Complete. Undefeated independent school season.
School Facts: Private, 1,200 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: Montverde Academy closed out an eighth straight undefeated season with three victories in the final week. The Eagles are riding a national record 174-match undefeated streak. This year, Montverde Academy fielded four unique varsity lineups, rolling out teams based on the competition. The SIMA Red, juniors and seniors, rolled to lopsided wins over Leon (7-1) and Merritt Island (6-1) and featured Pitt commits Facundo Costantini and Rodrigo Almeida and Butler commit Gabriel Gjergji.
2 (2) Alief Elsik Houston, TX 14-0-2
Mayno Linares scored four goals last week as Elsik defeated Hastings 3-9 and Pearland Dawson 7-0. Danford Ndabah added a hat trick in the win over Dawson.
3 (3) McKinney Boyd McKinney, TX 16-0-3
High Point signee Tanner Binion scored the winning goal as Boyd defeated Plano 1-0 to secure the district regular season title.

Folsom Folsom, CA 22-0-4
Kevin Grewal scored the lone goal as Folsom edged McClatchy 1-0 to capture the Sac-Joaquin Division I title and secure the No. 1 seed in the inaugural NorCal Regional Championships, which will be contested this week.

San Marcos San Marcos, CA 22-1-4
Pedro Mercado and Jose Sanchez each scored twice as San Marcos defeated La Costa Canyon 4-2 to win the CIF San Diego Section Open title. The Knights received the Division I No. 4 seed in this week's SoCal Regional Championships and will have a rematch with San Clemente, which San Marcos defeated early in the season.

Santa Barbara Santa Barbara, CA 18-1-3
UC Santa Barbara-bound keeper Ben Roach came up with three saves in the shootout as Santa Barbara edged Los Angeles Cathedral in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 final. Roach has 16 shutouts this season. Santa Barbara is the Division I No. 1 seed in the upcoming SoCal Regional Championships.

Torrey Pines San Diego, CA 21-1-4
Despite a CIF San Diego Open tournament semifinal loss, Torrey Pines still advances to the SoCal Regional Championships, where it has a chance to earn a high final national ranking.
8 (8) Cathedral Los Angeles, CA 19-3-5
Cathedral, after defeating San Clemente in a shootout in the semifinals, fell to Santa Barbara in the CIF Southern Section Division I final, also in a shootout. The Phantoms advance to the SoCal Regional Championships as the No. 2 seed in Division I.
9 (9) Loyola Los Angeles, CA 20-3-7
Loyola lost to Santa Barbara 1-0 in overtime in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 semifinals. The Cubs advance to this week's Division I SoCal Regional Championships as the No. 6 seed.
10 (10) Desert Vista Phoenix, AZ 18-4-2*
Season Complete. Arizona Class 6A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 3,050 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: After twice losing to Brophy Prep during the season, Desert Vista pulled off a state final stunner with a 3-0 victory. Parker Lischwe, Jayden Bourg and Max Wennes scored second-half goals to deliver a title for a Thunder team that played most of the season under an interim head coach. Of the team's four losses, two were to Brophy and one to Los Angeles Cathedral (Calif.). Desert Vista put together an 11-game win streak to end the season, which included a state semifinal win over then undefeated Chandler.
11 (11) Brophy Prep Phoenix, AZ 21-1-2*
Season Complete. Arizona Class 6A state runner-up.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 1,200 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Brophy's bid to finish No. 1 in the FAB 50 was foiled in a state final loss to Desert Vista. Brophy's stellar season included tournament titles at the Arizona Showcase and the North Texas Elite Showcase. The team was led offensively by UC Santa Barbara signee Carter Clemmensen, who topped 40 goals this season.
12 (12) Chandler Chandler, AZ 19-1-5*
Season Complete. Arizona Class 6A state semifinalist.
School Facts: Public, 3,200 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Chandler lost to eventual state champion Desert Vista in a state semifinals. The Wolves played Brophy Prep to a draw during the regular season. The team was led offensive by Jesus Garza, who finished with 20 goals and 12 assists.
13 (13) University Irvine, CA 21-1-3
Kyle Schaal and Darious Abdollahi scored the goals as University topped Villa Park 2-0 to win the CIF Southern Section Division 3 championship. University is the Division III No. 1 in this week's SoCal Regional Championships.

St. Ignatius San Francisco, CA 17-1-5
David Woodruff scored from distance just seconds before halftime in what proved to be the winning goal as St. Ignatius defeated Burlingame 2-1 in the CIF Central Coast Section Open title. St. Ignatius has won back-to-back section titles.

Pharr Valley View Pharr, TX 20-0-0
Valley View defeated Martin and Roma last week to remain perfect on the season.

El Camino Real Woodland Hills, CA 24-2-2
Senior forward Emilio Vallin scored all three goals helping El Camino Real climb out of a 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 win over Sotomayor in the CIF LA Section Division I final. El Camino Real is the No. 3 seed in this week's Division I SoCal Regional Championship.

Galt Galt, CA 25-0-1
Gilberto Lopez scored twice as Galt defeated Livingston 3-2 in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Division IV final. Despite an undefeated record, Galt received the No. 8 - and last - seed in the Division I NorCal Regional Championships. The Warriors open the regionals against FAB 50-ranked Alisal.
18 (18) American Heritage-Plantation Plantation, FL 21-1-3*
Season Complete. Florida 3A state champion.
School Facts: Private, 2,800 students, grades PK-12.
NOTES: Sebastian Vidarte's last-second shot deflected off a defender and into the goal for the winning score as American Heritage defeated defending state champion Daytona Seabreeze 1-0 with 4 seconds remaining in double overtime. The title marked the sixth for the program, but first since 2012.
19 (19) Frisco Centennial Frisco, TX 14-0-3
Oliver Hamby provided Centennial's offensive highlight last week, scoring both goals in the team's 2-0 win over Frisco Heritage.
20 (20) JJ Pearce Richardson, TX 18-0-4
Pearce delivered a marquee win last week, edging Coppell 1-0 in a battle of district title contenders. The Mustangs have wrapped up a fifth straight playoff appearance thanks to the win over Coppell.
21 (21) North Shore Houston, TX 17-1-2
North Shore shut out Sterling and Houston King last week to remain in the running for the District 21-6A title.

San Clemente lost to Cathedral in a shootout in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 semifinals last week. San Clemente advances to this week's SoCal Regional Championships as the No. 5 seed in Division I.

De La Salle was idle last week. The Spartans compete in this week's NorCal Regional Championships.

25 Cinco Ranch Katy, TX 15-1-2
Cinco Ranch took the District 19-6A lead with wins over Katy and Katy Taylor while fellow front-runner Seven Lakes lost to Strake Jesuit.
