FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

1 (1) Penn Mishawaka, IN 19-0-1
Florida State commit Kristina Lynch scored eight goals and added three assists as Penn cruised to a section title, beating South Bend Riley, South Bend Adams and LaPorte by a combined 22-0 margin. Penn has outscored its opponents 112-2 this season.
2 (2) Arlington LaGrangeville, NY 12-0-0
Arlington pushed its win streak to 20 matches with a 7-0 win over Ossining to close out a three-win week. Keeper Becky Gold has yet to allow a goal this season, posting 12 straight shutouts. Notre Dame commit Molly Feighan scored five goals in the three outings.
3 (3) Portland Jesuit Portland, OR 10-0-0
Gonzaga commit Sophia Braun and California commit Sydney Collins scored the goals last week as Jesuit posted 1-0 wins over Beaverton and Southridge. Like Arlington, Jesuit has yet to allow a goal this season.
4 (4) Northern Highlands Allendale, NJ 9-0-0
Northern Highlands received goals from five players in wins of Demarest and River Dell last week.
5 (5) Walsh Jesuit Cuyahoga Falls, OH 13-0-1
Katie Schumacher and Bella Rosalina each had a goal and an assist as Walsh Jesuit defeated previously undefeated Lake Catholic 3-0.
6 (6) Houston Germantown, TN 19-0-0
Houston handled St. Agnes and Briarcrest Christian, a pair of state-ranked private schools, before claiming the District 15-AAA title with a 6-0 win over rival Germantown last week. The Mustangs appear to be goals better than any team in the Tennessee Class AAA playoffs.

Whitman-Hanson Whitman, MA 10-0-1
Whitman-Hanson shut out Quincy and Hanover last week to stay undefeated. The team has a rematch with regionally ranked Hingham next week.

Central Catholic Lawrence, MA 10-0-1
Providence commit Elayna Grillakis had three goals and five assists last week while Stonehill commit Caitlin Regan added four goals and one assist as Central Catholic continued its undefeated season.

Strongsville Strongsville, OH 10-0-4
Lauren Rakytiak had three goals and one assist as Strongsville handled Brecksville 6-0 to close out the week.

Freehold Township Freehold, NJ 12-0-0
Jada Colbert assisted Laura Noseworthy's game winner in Freehold's 1-0 win over Colts Neck. Colbert then scored three in a 5-2 victory over Neptune and capped the week with the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over state-ranked Bridgewater-Raritan.

Brianna Passaro delivered four goals and two assists last week as St. Anthony's handled St. John the Baptist 5-0 and St. Dominic 6-0.

Tarah Roller had a goal and one assist as Medina defeated Solon 2-0 last week in the team's only match.

Guerin Catholic Noblesville, IN 13-1-1
Marian commit Claire Gavin delivered a clutch save early in the shootout, helping Guerin to a 4-2 PK win over Carmel following a scoreless match between these Top 25-ranked programs. Florida commit Cassidy Lindley got Guerin on the board first and Adele Stradling ultimately covered the clincher in the playoff win.

Urbana Ijamsville, MD 9-0-1
Brianna Skidmore netted the winning goal as Urbana edged Linganore 1-0 in a battle of undefeated teams. These programs have combined to win five of the last six 3A West region titles. High Point commit Caitlin Shepherd assisted on the winner. Keeper Hannah Goodacre has nine shutouts this season and 24 in her 30 varsity matches.

Archbishop Spalding Severn, MD 8-0-2
Olivia Burkowski gave Spalding the lead and Jess Zimmerman sealed the outcome by converting a penalty kick late in the match as Spalding defeated McDonogh 2-0 in a battle of IAAM powers. The teams tied their first meeting.

Katie Butler's first-half goal carried Westfield to a 1-0 victory over Scotch Plains, allowing Westfield to complete the regular-season sweep in this meeting of recent state powers.

Pickerington North ended Granville's nine-match undefeated run in a 2-1 victory among the state-ranked teams.

Victoria Colatosti had two goals and four assists last week as Northport cruised to a pair of league victories.

Pennington School Pennington, NJ 9-0-0
Kelli Collins had three goals and three assists, Kylie Daigle added three goals and one assist and Jaydin Avery had a goal and three assists as Pennington rolled up wins over Peddie and George School (Pa.) last week. Rutgers commit Mia Justus, who missed the team's first three matches while competing in Germany, has been in goal for the last six Pennington victories.

McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 8-2-2
After losing to Spalding 2-0 in a showdown of Top 25 teams, McDonogh then handed FAB 50-ranked Cumberland Valley (Pa.) its first loss after 15 matches in a 2-1 decision. Sophomore Caitlin Hoffman and freshman Baylee DeSmit scored for the Eagles.

Brooke Schutter scored five goals last week, the final one led to a 1-0 decision over Nazareth to keep Parkland perfect through 15 matches.

Eva Bruer scored twice to lead Wayzata to a 3-0 victory over Robbinsdale Armstrong to close out an undefeated regular season.

Washington commit Claudia Longo scored three goals and assisted on two last week as Issaquah won three matches.

Season Complete. Indiana Class 3A section runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 4,830 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Carmel's season ended with a shootout loss to Guerin Catholic in the section final. Both of the Greyhounds' losses this season were to Guerin, which included a 1-0 setback earlier in the year. The section final result leaves longtime coach Frank Dixon on 499 career victories. During the regular season, Carmel had key wins over Toledo Notre Dame Academy (Ohio) and Noblesville and the Greyhounds tied Penn. During the postseason, Carmel pinned a 3-0 defeat on previously undefeated Brebeuf Jesuit. Junior Ashley Witucki, a Purdue commit, had two goals and one assist, sophomore Kelsie James, a Valparaiso commit, had a goal and senior standout Katie Soderstrom, a Butler commit, had two assists.

Glastonbury Glastonbury, CT 7-0-2
In one of the most bizarre outcomes of the season, Glastonbury and Middletown played to a 4-4 draw last week. The result allowed Glastonbury to extend its undefeated streak to 69 matches. However, Glastonbury, which had allowed only one goal all season, surrendered a 4-0 second-half lead, resulting in the tie. Carrie Kearns scored twice for Glastonbury.
