FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi (independent schools) Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

La Salle commit Kelli McGroarty scored hat tricks in both of Eastern's wins last week. Rutgers commit Riley Tiernan added a three-goal, three-assist performance in the team's win over Moorestown last week.

Beavercreek scored four second-half goals to pull away for a 5-1 win over Miamisburg in the team's playoff opener last week.

Portland Jesuit's undefeated streak was put to the test, but the Crusaders made it 51 in a row with a 1-0 win over Westview.
4 (4) Anthony Wayne Whitehouse, OH 17-0-0
Anthony Wayne rolled to a 9-0 playoff win over Wapakoneta last week.

Brentwood Brentwood, TN 12-0-0
Brentwood fell behind Ravenwood 1-0 but rallied with goals by Hayley Howard and Haley Hannah for a 2-1 victory over District 12-AAA title match.

Noblesville Noblesville, IN 15-0-3
Noblesville shut out Fort Wayne Carroll and McCutcheon on Saturday to advance to this week's state semifinals. In one of the nation's most bizarre playoff formats, Indiana teams play what amounts to the Round of 16 and the state quarterfinals on the same day -- after not playing for the entire week leading up to the doubleheader.

Carmel Carmel, IN 17-0-3
Valparaiso commit Kelsie James had a goal and one assist in both of Carmel's playoff wins last week as the Greyhounds returned to the state semifinals.

Lakota West West Chester, OH 16-0-2
Sydney Jones had a goal and four assists as Lakota West handled Wilmington 7-0 in playoff action last week. Lakota West also defeated Cincinnati Northwest 9-0. Games will start to get more competitive this week as the Firebirds clash with Ursuline Academy.

Archbishop Spalding Severn, MD 12-0-1
Archbishop Spalding and McDonogh will clash this week for the IAAM A Conference regular season title. The Cavaliers shut out Severna Park and John Carroll last week. The Spalding, McDonogh clash is set for Thursday.

McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 13-1-0
McDonogh routed former SIMA FAB 50 Top 25-ranked Northern Calvert 7-2 last week to cap a two-win week.

Sacred Heart Academy Louisville, KY 22-1-2
Mallory Glass scored the lone goal as Sacred Heart avenged its only defeat with a 1-0 playoff win over Christian Academy-Louisville. Sacred Heart then toppled Assumption 2-1 to advance to the state tournament, which starts this week.

Nicole Menella scored both goals in the team's 2-0 win over Half Hollow Hills East, and Isabella Justino delivered the game-winner in a 2-1 decision over Centereach last week as Smithtown West stayed undefeated.

Montclair Montclair, NJ 14-0-1
Montclair edged Livingston in penalty kicks last week, but the result goes down as a draw for both teams in New Jersey.
14 Southington Southington, CT 11-0-0
Junior Allison Carr scored the first two goals and Southington jumped out to a 3-0 lead 24 minutes into the match en route to a 3-0 win over former Top 10-ranked Glastonbury.

Mercy Baltimore, MD 12-2-0
Mercy stepped out of league play last week and defeated C.M. Wright and Loch Raven. The Magic have one league match remaining and that outcome, coupled with the result from the Spalding-McDonogh match, will determine the top three seeds in the IAAM A tournament.

Strongsville Strongsville, OH 13-2-2
Strongsville defeated Olmstead Falls 3-1 last week to move into a playoff clash with Avon this week.

Virginia commit Brianna Jablonowski had a goal and one assist as St. Anthony's defeated Kellenberg 3-0 last week. Earlier in the season the teams played to a tie.

Brunswick Brunswick, OH 15-1-1
IPFW commit Gigi Ricciardi had two goals and one assist while Michigan State commit Jordyn Wickes scored twice as Brunswick rolled over Barberton 10-0. Ricciardi, a junior, set the single-season and career assist records for Brunswick with her one helper against Barberton.

Walsh Jesuit started postseason play with a 4-0 win over Kent Roosevelt last week.

Despite a scoreless draw with Centennial, Faith Lutheran inches up a few spots this week. The Crusaders also defeated Desert Pines 7-0 last week behind a two-goal, three-assist effort from Camille Longabardi.

Chloe Tesney scored twice as Medina defeated Highland 4-0 to start postseason play.

Cumberland Valley capped its regular season with a 2-1 win over recent SIMA FAB 50-ranked Conestoga. The Eagles, who have a loss to McDonogh (Md.), enters the District 3-AAAA playoffs as the top seed.

School Facts: Private, 1,650 students at the Louisville campus.
NOTES: Led by Xavier commit Olivia Lawson, Christian Academy-Louisville delivered its greatest season to date. Early in the season the Centurions upended Sacred Heart 1-0 to even a national ranking, but lost Sacred Heart in the playoffs 1-0 to end its undefeated run. Lawson finished with 53 goals.
