Today we update our 2012 Boys Top 100 list as part of our continuing Players To Watch feature.

The list is dominated at the top by members of the U17 Men’s National Team, while USSF Academy club players have the strongest presence in the remaining portion of the list, with a few non-academy players also dotting the list.

This particular class will now be the primary focus for men’s college soccer programs, national signing day having come and gone for the 2011 class.

As mentioned, the U17 MNT dominates the top of the list. Coach Wilmer Cabrera’s team plays the opening match of the CONCACAF Qualifying Tournament today in Jamaica (vs. Cuba). Among the expected starters is our #1 player, Alejandro Guido, a wizard with the ball who hails from Chula Vista, California and who played club soccer at Aztecs Premier.
