Sammy Olali, AYSES coach and board member, says the complex, located in McKinney, Texas, will eventually have 16 fields but in phase one includes six.

“We are very excited about the new complex at the club,” Olali said. “It will be one of three used for the tournament and it will be one of the biggest and best complexes in North Texas.”

Other venues for the tournament, which runs from Aug. 14-16, include Craig Ranch and Al Russhaupt. The tournament will include age groups U9 to U18/19 for both boys and girls play.

“We use it as a preparation for the fall league season and that’s why it’s becoming more and more popular,” Olali said. “The matches are good and we expect to have more than 200 teams in the tournament.”

Along with a lot of top club teams from the Dallas area, the event draws clubs from South Texas, Oklahoma and even as far away as Nebraska.

“We’ve consistently grown in numbers and that speaks well of the experience people have with the tournament,” Olali said. “It’s become one of the largest tournaments in  North Texas and outgrown some more established tournaments.”

Entry fee for U9 and U10 teams is $350, with a $475 for all teams in older age groups.
