The July update to the 2025 Men’s Division I Recruiting Class Rankings is out.

Transfers and internationals continue to settle, as official announcements and roster updates are picking up steam with preseason around the corner.

At this point, based on the committed club players, international additions and transfers announced or spotted so far, below is the Top 45 Men’s Division I Recruiting Class Rankings for 2025.

1. UCLA (1)

Commitments: M Ethan Pendleton (DC United – No. 57), D Kian Concepcion (Austin FC – No. 60), M Zachary Mastrodimos (Philadelphia Union – No. 70), D Ian Charles (FC Dallas – No. 73), D Blake Bayless (FC Cincinnati – No. 127), M Adrian Aguilar (Los Angeles FC – No. 152), F Bridger Baltes (Santa Barbara SC – No. 160), F Francis Bonsu (Millbrook School), M Dylan Cantafio (Real Salt Lake), M Ander Marticorena (Subiza), GK Ryan Tiltack (Toronto FC)

Transfers: D Schinieder Mimy (Oral Roberts), M Sean Sent (Washington), F Oliver Roche (Virginia Tech), F Sergi Solans (Oregon State), M Konstantinos Georgallides (UNC Greensboro), GK Kevin Box (Claremont-Mudd-Scripps), D Drew Brown (Wisconsin)

Several MLS Academy players have pledged to join the Bruins, which is at the tail end of its first season in the Big Ten. A raft of talented transfers should solidify them in this spot. Pendleton has started to earn minutes for Loudoun United on an Academy contract in the USL Championship.

2. Portland (2)

Commitments: M Johann Ortiz (Sporting KC – No. 64), M Julian Bretous (Atlanta United – No. 94), D Ayo Akintobi (Atlanta United – No. 105), F Adriano Samayoa (Los Angeles FC – No. 107), M Christian Mendoza (Portland Timbers – No. 144), F Maddox Findlay (Heat FC – No. 176), F Adrian Alvarenga (LA Galaxy), D Mason Bradley (Oregon Premier), D Andrew Bromert (Portland Timbers), M Ritvik Karra (Strikers FC), GK Jacob Molinaro (Sporting KC)

Transfers: F David Ajagbe (Ohio State), GK Mark Hyan (Virginia Tech), D Andrew Portis (Cal State LA), D Nikos Clarke-Tosczak (Rhode Island), F Anton Hjalmarsson (Fort Lewis), D Michael Dunne (North Carolina)

Portland consistently lands the top club players from MLS Academy sides, and it typically powers it to be among the best recruiting classes in men’s soccer. That looks set to continue. Ajagbe is a big transfer addition from the portal.

3. Stanford (4)

Commitments: D Victor Fung (Inter Miami CF – No. 36), F Tomo Allen (San Jose Earthquakes – No. 48), M Jack Pymm (Inter Miami CF – No. 52), M Jude Stone (Oakland Roots – No. 123), GK Brayden Montague (Florida Premier FC – No. 162), M Brad Bennett (Ventura County Fusion), F Dillon Logan (Alexandria SA), M Joshua Partal (New England Revolution), D Aidan Reilly (New England Revolution)

The addition of Victor Fung for 2025 moves the needle for a very good Stanford recruiting class.

4. North Carolina (5)

Commitments: D Scott Cheevers (Nashville SC – No. 49), F Daniel Klink (Pipeline SC – No. 78), GK Alan Rutkowski (New York Red Bulls – No. 91), F Ryan Dugan (St. Louis City SC – No. 139), D Myles Carson (DKSC), F Jace Donawa (Black Rock FC), D Immanuel Mathe (Vancouver Whitecaps)

Transfers: D Dylan Kropp (Xavier), D Callum Frogson (Florida Atlantic), F Nacho Abeal (SIUE), M Gabriel Bracken Serra (San Francisco)

While UNC has been very reliant on the transfer portal in the past, the foundation is impressive here. Klink, Rutkowski, Mathe and Cheevers have enrolled in the spring and are listed on the roster already. Javier Hernandez has joined them after taking the fall off after graduating in 2024.

5. Maryland (3)

Commitments: M Rocket Ritarita (Charlotte FC – No. 35), M Henry Bernstein (Philadelphia Union – No. 77), M Casey Price (Pipeline SC – No. 133), M Luke Burdett (DC United), F Mateo Caride (Vaughan SC), F Said El Eyssami (Black Rock FC), GK Alexander Milosevic (Vancouver Whitecaps), D Emil Nyman (Aalborg BK)

Transfers: D Lasse Kelp (UMBC), M Joseph Picotto (UMBC), D Tristen Rose (University of Charleston), F Stephane Njike (Marshall/LIU)

Losing Jackson Platts is a blow, but the Terps did pick up Njike from the portal.
