ECNL Recap: Ready for the Showcase

U14

Lonestar SC enjoyed a great weekend with a pair of wins over local competition. Olufoasade Adamolekun scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Dallas Texans on Saturday. Adamolekun found the back of the net again on Sunday in a 2-0 win over Solar Chelsea Soccer Club. She also dished out an assist on Grace Erdman’s goal. Goalkeeper Tara Lujan recorded both of the shutouts over the weekend.

Santa Rosa United kept the top spot in the NorCal Division with a 3-1 win over MVLA. Alyiah Shields scored twice and had an assist in the game. Gabriella Rodriguez scored the other goal and dished out the two assists.

San Diego Surf picked up a 2-1 win over Real So Cal on Sunday. Bianca Caetano-Ferrara and Monica Navarro scored the goals off of assists from Anicia Reyes and Jessica Wright.

U15

Carolina Elite Soccer Academy rolled to a 6-0 win over Orlando City Youth Soccer on Saturday behind two-goal performances from Samantha Britt and Mary McCown. Esther Anderson and Lauren Croft both had a goal each to round out the scoring. Lauren Croft dished out two assists in the win. VSI West FL Flames had the last laugh for Florida with a 1-0 win over CESA on Sunday.

Texas Rush pulled off a four-point weekend with a 0-0 draw against FC Dallas on Saturday and then a 1-0 win over TSC Hurricane. Sophia Manibo scored the lone goal off an assist from Allison Lawrence.

Elisabeth Geraghty scored her 14th goal of the season for her club Colorado Storm on Sunday in a 1-0 win over Colorado Rush. Margaret Halvorson provided the assist on the game-winning goal. Storm plays its final game before the Phoenix Showcase this weekend against Real Colorado.

U16

TSC Hurricane rolled to a 4-1 win over Texas Rush on Sunday behind a six-point performance from Jennifer Byers. The midfielder had two goals and two assists in the win. Jordan Langebartels and Madison Verge scored the other goals. Allison Hurd and Kelli Keller had the assists on the goals.

Kennedy Smith scored four goals for Strikers FC U16 in a 4-1 win over West Coast FC on Sunday. The impressive output wiped an own goal off the board that happened in the first half. Jennifer Ramirez and Sydney Adams had the assists.

U17

Challenge SC earned a pair of points over the weekend with draws against TSC Hurricane and FC Dallas. Challenge battled TSC Hurricane to a 0-0 draw on Saturday. Stephen F Austin(w) commit Allyson Smith recorded the shut out in goal. Tayler Niemeyer scored the lone goal on Sunday off an assist from Bailey Bosley. Emma Stewart scored for FC Dallas off an assist from Francesca Genera.

Slammers FC topped Eagles Soccer Club 2-1 on Sunday in a Southwest Conference showdown. Kiana Palacios and Leah Mohammadi scored the goals for Slammers off assists from Brianna Westrup and Alexa Cabrales. Kayla Satterfield scored for Eagles Soccer Club off an assist from Siena Ereshena.

U18

Michigan Hawks improved to 12-0-1 on the season with road wins over Sockers FC and Eclipse Select Soccer Club. The Hawks scored nine goals over the two games to improve their season total to 52 goals in 13 games.
