The Team of the Week, presented by Soccer Management Company, is led by a mid-major star from Texas State who continues to defy all odds.

Texas State has been the darling of the early college soccer season, and Victoria Meza ensured that continued with a sensational performance to avoid an upset versus Rice. After providing three assists to help the team come back from a 2-0 and 3-1 deficit, the El Salvadorian midfielder then completed her dream performance with a stunning long-range strike with just 54 seconds remaining to complete the 4-3 victory.

GK Allison Deardorff, Loyola Chicago - Managing ten saves in clean sheet draws with Northwestern and DePaul, the Illinois native ensured the team earned two valuable results.

D Sierra Sythe, Wake Forest - Sythe continued her stunning start to the year, converting a penalty in a 3-0 victory over South Florida, then adding two goals, including a game-winning penalty kick, to defeat No. 24 Florida. 

D Sophia Broz, George Washington - The senior defender pitched in two assists to help a 3-0 shutout win over Colgate.

D Helen Bonner, Navy - Beginning with 61 minutes played in a 5-0 shutout of Radford, then a goal and another clean sheet to defeat VMI 3-0, Bonner had quite the week.

M Victoria Meza, Texas State - Meza delivered a heroic performance of one goal and three assists to defeat Rice 4-3.

M Brooke Bunton, SMU - After contributing 81 minutes in a 1-1 draw with No. 17 Texas Tech, Bunton took her game to another level with a hat trick to fuel a 6-0 defeat of Idaho State.

M Izy Traub, Wisconsin - A stellar week for Traub began with 90 minutes played in the 2-0 win at Wisconsin-Milwaukee, then a hat trick of assists to defeat Central Michigan 6-2.

M Jessica Baires, Tarleton State - Another to show her creative prowess, after playing 79 minutes in a 0-0 draw with Incarnate Word, Baires proved to be the ultimate provider with three assists in a thrilling 4-4 draw with Houston Christian,

F Adi Bianchin, Pittsburgh - Bianchin found the back of the net with great ease, starting with a brace to defeat Ohio 3-0, then a hat trick to top Dayton with an identical scoreline.

F Paige McSwigan, North Florida - The North Florida star lived up to the billing this week, scoring an 87th-minute equalizer to draw Alabama A&M 1-1, then an outstanding hat trick, complete with an 84th-minute winner to defeat Jacksonville State 4-3.

F Olof Kristinsdottir, Harvard(w) - Harvard needed every bit of its Icelandic star, who scored in a narrow 2-1 victory at Boston University, then added another goal plus three assists in the shocking 6-4 upset of No. 13 Alabama.
