IMG Academies has appointed Keith Fulk
July 18, 2010
Fulk will work directly with the IMG Soccer Academy’s U-16 and U-18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy League teams.
Having earned his “A” license, Fulk served as an assistant coach for the U.S. U-17s for more than five years, helping the team qualify for four FIFA U-17 World Cups. Prior to that, Fulk coached West Virginia University and the University of Tampa, the latter of which he led to three NCAA tournament appearances and a D-II national championship in 2001. Fulk played collegiately at the University of Tampa, where he won a national championship in 1981, and professionally with multiple indoor teams from 1985-1992.
“I’m ecstatic about the opportunity to become a head coach again,” Fulk said. “During my years with the U-17s, I’ve witnessed the growth and success of the IMG Soccer Academy, and I can’t wait to be a part of the Academy’s future.”
In the past five years, the IMG Soccer Academy’s boys’ and girls’ teams have experienced tremendous success at the local, state and national level. The IMG Soccer Academy finished 3rd nationally in the 2009 U.S. Soccer Development Academy League, won two Dallas Cups and numerous Florida Youth Soccer Association and Club Directors League titles.
