National League Las Vegas Boys Preview
FRISCO, Texas — The 2016-17 US Youth Soccer National League Boys season will wrap up play March 10-12 at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex in Las Vegas, Nev., as 64 teams — representing 22 state associations and 55 clubs — play their final three games and solidify the division standings.
Entering the final weekend of play in Las Vegas…
- 17 berths to the US Youth Soccer National Championships are still to be decided.
- 14 National League division titles are up for grabs
- 38 of the 64 teams with games remaining are still in contention for a berth to Nationals
- Five teams have perfect 4-0-0 records
- 500 college coaches have attended National League events so far this season
The top two finishers in each of the 15U and 19/20U divisions earn a place in the National Championships, while the division winners in the 16U, 17U and 18U age groups also advance. The 2017 National Championships will take place July 24-30 in Frisco, Texas.
Following the first two National League weekends, just three teams — 16U Lobos Rush 01 Premier (TN), 17U McLean 00 Green (VA) and 19/20U Penn Fusion 98 (PA-E) — have booked tickets to the National Championships. With so many berths to Frisco, Texas, still on the line, there will be plenty to play for when the teams meet in Las Vegas.
