Captain Corban Anderson played Heptner through with a perfectly-weighted ball that Heptner only had to pass into the side of the net to guarantee Placer the title.

Placer took the lead early in the match when forward Diego Buenrostro was brought down in the box for a penalty. Though Heptner’s penalty was saved, midfielder Brayden Sullivan smashed the rebound into the upper corner of the near post with his left foot.

After going down to 10-men thanks to a red card for a bad foul from Erick Sandoval, San Jose responded with a tap-in from Bryan Duarte before Heptner’s winner.

CA San Jose United 4 – Walnut Creek Crew 98 0 (U15)

A scoreless first half where both sides created few chances was followed up by an explosion of goals from San Jose.

Midway through the second half, midfielder Vincent Cerventes collected a clearance near the corner of the box. The 15-year-old rifled an in-swinging ball into the upper corner with his right foot to break the deadlock for United.

One minute later, a cross deflected off a Crew defender to make it 2-0 before forward Hairo Silva scored two one-touch goals from close range to put the game completely away.

San Juan SC Lightning 95 - 3 De Anza Force SC 95B Blue 1 (U19)

Forward Kaivan Kavianpour finished off a slaloming solo run with a right footed blast into the upper right corner of the net from 20 yards out to give De Anza an early lead that wouldn’t last.

Soon after, Justin Bethke of San Juan capitalized on a defensive miscommunication to tap a ball into an empty net from six yards out to tie the game.

The Lightning scored two second-half goals against the run of play to pick up the full three points.

Marin FC 97 Blue 3 – Livermore Fusion 1 (U17)

A second-half brace from forward Noah Paravicini proved to be the difference between the two sides on the day.

Tied 1-1, Paravicini received a chipped through ball and first-time lobbed the ball over the onrushing Fusion keeper using the instep of his foot.

About 20 minutes later, Paravicini found himself at the top of the box with teammates to his right and left.

Expecting a pass, the Livermore keeper cheated to his left, but was punished when Paravicini hit a decently stricken shot to the netminder’s right.

Incoming UC Davis freshman Noah Wilson opened the scoring for Marin before Salvador Morales pulled one back for Livermore.
