Stellar performances from U17 championship
The U.S. U17 Men’s National Team pulled off one of the most impressive results in recent boys youth national team history on Monday with a 3-2 win over France in the finale of the 44th International Tournament of Montaigu.
The USA went undefeated throughout the event with two wins and two draws. The championship marks the first title for the U.S. at the tournament in France since 1992. This is the second international title in the past year for this age group.
The tournament in France was another chance for the USA’s 2000 age group to showcase the future of the USA program in front of a number of European clubs and scouts. There were a number of players who showed they were ready for that level throughout the competition. Check out who stood out from the group below.
