Playing a fifth game in sixth days, the U.S. U15 BNT clinched a spot in the final of the Concacaf Championship.

Sebastian Chavez scored the lone goal of the game in the second half, and a stout defensive effort led the U.S. to a 1-0 win against Haiti.

Facing Haiti for the second time at this competition, the U.S. battled through a tough first half – nearly scoring on a couple of chances. Luca Moisa glanced a shot just wide from a great buildup, as his chipped shot went just wide of the post.

A set piece goal provided the breakthrough early in the second half. A corner kick into the six-yard box was headed back into the mix by Adrian Sanders. Chavez did well to glance the ball past the Haitian goalkeeper and give the U.S. the lead.

That would prove to be enough, as the U.S. defense was able to keep Haiti at bay. A big save from goalkeeper Owen Pratt secured a spot in Sunday’s final against Mexico.

U.S. Starting Lineup: Owen Pratt; Juan Villa, Sebastian Chavez, Adrian Sanders, Pedro Guimaraes; Peter Doran, Jude Terry, Luca Moisa; Tanner Rosborough, Chase Adams, Jamir Johnson
