CARSON, California - The U.S. U15 Girls National Team wrapped up the March camp on Saturday with an inter-squad scrimmage at the Dignity Sports Health Park in Southern California. The two squads battled to a 2-2 draw. PDA attacker Melina Rebimbas scored both goals for the Green team. NC Courage standouts Lauren Martinho scored twice for the Blue team in the game.

Kennedy Bell (Charlotte SA) had the first chance of the game on a beautiful combination from the Blue side that led to a chance for the speedy winger. The Green team goalkeeper came up with a big save on Bell’s shot to keep the score even in the early in the game.

Rebimbas opened the scoring in the game when she finished off a rebound. The PDA forward was in the right place to follow home a shot after Real Colorado goalkeeper Adelyn Todd made the initial stop.

The Green team doubled the lead behind another tally from Rebimbas early in the second half. This time the PDA forward cut through the defense and ripped a shot across her body to the lower corner of the net for her second goal of the game.

Martinho scored twice to even up the score from the scrimmage. Her first goal was a nice finish in a 1v1 opportunity against the goalkeeper. She put the second one in the goal on a rebound, as she was in the right place for the finish.
