2013 College Players to Watch in the PDL
The summer months mean a break from college soccer for some of the best men’s players, but that doesn’t translate to a lengthy vacation.
For players who want to hit the highest levels, many look to the USL Premier Development League for summer competition, as the league kicked off last weekend.
Here’s where you can catch some of the best college players plying their trade while school’s out:
D Mikey Ambrose, Austin Aztex (Maryland, Sophomore)
The FC Dallas Academy product and left back returns to Texas to compete with the Aztex over the season. He’ll continue honing his skills there in preparation for another difficult season in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
F Ema Boateng, Ventura County Fusion (UC Santa Barbara, Sophomore)
One of the brightest talents in the college game, Boateng is poised to really leave his mark this fall at UCSB. Before he gets there, he’ll take his attacking midfield talents to the Ventura County Fusion, a PDL club that has seen its share of stars pass through en route to Major League Soccer.
