Arnadottir Leads UCCS to 3-0 Shutout

PUEBLO, Colo. - Agnes Arnadottir scored a pair of second half goals to lead the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (1-0) to a 3-0 shutout of Concordia-St. Paul (0-1) in the season-opener today in Pueblo, Colo. Arnadottir moves within one goal of tying the UCCS career record of 18 set by Kristen Preble in 2008-11.
Hannah Levett scored her 10th career goal in the 17th minute to open the scoring for the Mountain Lions off the pass from Brooke Tominello. The assist moved Tominello into a tie for seventh in career records, while Levett moved within three goals of third in career charts.
UCCS went into halftime with the 1-0 lead before Arnadottir added to it with goals in the 56th and 63rd minutes. She improved her career total to 17 goals and her career points total to 42, three within second-place in UCCS career records.
Concordia-St. Paul held an advantage in overall shots, but UCCS held a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal. Goalkeeper Kelly Schroeder earned her 15th career shutout and needs one more to tie for sixth in RMAC records.
