Zach Galluzzo scored his first two goals of the season including the game-winner in the 73^rd minute as Binghamton defeated Siena Soccer 2-1 in Vestal. Junior striker Junior Rosero scored his team-high third goal of the year for the Saints which suffered their fourth straight, hard fought one-goal road loss against a quality opponent.

Binghamton (5-2) held a narrow 12-11 edge in shots and both teams attempted eight corners in an evenly played match. But Galluzzo struck for his first of two tallies in the 15^th minute as the Bearcats would take a 1-0 lead into the break.

Rosero got the Saints (0-5-2) on the board in the 61^st minute to knot the score, finishing feeds from senior midfielder Tom Allen and sophomore captain Milorad Sobot. The assist was the 13^th of Allen’s career, moving him into a tie for fifth on the program’s all-time list.

But Galluzzo and the Bearcats responded to go back in front with the eventual game-winning goal in the 73^rd minute. Siena had several chances late to tie, including a potential equalizer with about five minutes to go that was ultimately waived off following a delayed offside call.

Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Mancini made his second straight start and stopped three shots for the Saints. Robert Moewes made seven saves for a quality Binghamton squad which boasts a road win at Big Ten foe Ohio State earlier this season.

The Saints conclude the non-conference portion of their schedule – and season long five-match road trip – Tuesday with a 3 p.m. kickoff at Fairleigh Dickinson.
