FLYERS LOSE TOUGH ONE TO TENNESSEE

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team, despite having an advantage on shots, fell 2-0 to Tennessee on the road Friday night.
The Lady Vols (4-1-0), who are receiving votes in the latest NSCAA national poll, scored in the 15th and 36th minutes and the Flyers (2-3) could not find the back of the net on any of their 19 shots. UT had 15 shots. The Flyers also had six shots on goal to Tennessee's five. Dayton also held the advantage on corner kicks, 5-4. Fouls were an even nine per team.
Senior Juliana Libertin had a match-high three shots on goal for the Flyers, while Ashley Campbell, Erin O'Malley and Stephanie Emery also each had a shot on goal.
UD takes on Kentucky (3-1-1) this Sunday, Sept. 8 at 2:30 p.m. at the UK Soccer Complex.
