It was the dip that seemed to surprise the goalie the most. As Yannick Bright whipped a free kick over the wall, the ball seemed to be heading far over the bar — overhit, misjudged. But then it darted down quickly, spinning instead towards the top left corner. And by the time the Yale goalkeeper reacted, it was too late — as he couldn’t quite slide over to bat the ball away.

It was a remarkably judged set piece, a perfectly placed whip into the top corner. It was also our goal of the week.
